Esther Willems
Esther has a background in both analytical chemistry and molecular biology. During her PhD she specialized in glycoproteomics and mass spectrometry to study immunological processes and to search for biomarkers for infectious diseases. She recently started as a postdoc within the Systems Biology Enabling Platform of AgResearch in New Zealand to use state-of-the-art mass spectrometry to profile the proteome of food and bio-based products for its integration in a multi-omics perspective. In her spare time, she explores New Zealand in an ongoing campervan project.
